Objective: Body position and technique

equipment: 2 hit shields and ball

group size: 4 attacker and two defenders

Area: 3m x 3m

drill set-up: Two hit shield holders are on one side, ball in the middle on the ground and four attackers on the opposite side.

Drill explanation:

  1. On “go”, first attacker tries to drive past ball with first hit shield holder trying to keep you back.

  2. When completed second attacker repeats activity with second hit shield holder keeping you back.

  3. Keep repeating through the whole group.


Variations / progression:

  1. Go in twos with only one hit shield.

  2. Go in twos with both hit shields.
