OBJECTIVE:

To evade opponents while running, without becoming isolated.

KEY FACTORS:

  1. Ball in two hands.
  2. Run toward defender.
  3. Change pace and/or direction of movement.
  4. Position ball away from defender.
  5. Accelerate into the space.


COMMON ERRORS:

  1. Not running at the defender.
  2. Changing direction too early or too late.
  3. Not accelerating forward immediately after the sideways movement.
