Objective: Sprinting and picking up ball

Drill set-up: Players are partnered up numbered 1 to 5, 2 lines facing each other, with two balls at each end.

Drill explanation:

  1. Players face each other 10-15m apart with balls down one end of lines.

  2. On the call of “a number” whoever is called runs, picks up ball and tries to score at opposite end. Both run and pick up ball and race to furthest end.

  3. This is repeated with a different number and two players’ race to where the ball was left and race to score and the other end.

  4. Repeat.
