Law 11 Knock-on or Throw Forward

1. Can a knock-on occur anywhere in the playing area?
Answer: Yes.

2. Is it a knock-on if when a player tackling or attempting to tackle an opponent makes contact with the ball causing it to go forward?
Answer: Yes.

Sanction: scrum and if the ball goes into touch, the non-offending team may opt for a quick throw in or a lineout.
